Nicholas Black Elk's beliefs

Nicholas Black Elk was born in the middle of 1860s as a member of American Indians. He lived and have a well knowledge in spiritual tradition of his people. he never went to school, but he has a deep understand of the catholic faith. He got married with Katie War Bonnet in 1892. They had three children. All of his family members then became catholic baptizes. His holy life will surely inspire Catholics of every nation. he is also called the man of prayer. Prayer filled his whole life and the power of his prayer was much respected. He told his people to never fail to pray every day because God will take care of them and reward them for this. He create a theory which is called " A sign from heaven". Before his death on August 1950. he told his family that he has a feeling that when he die, some sign will be seen, and maybe god will show something. God will be merciful to him and have something shown which will tell of God's mercy. He remained solid in his Catholic faith until death. The legacy of this humble man lives on in those who like him. It will remain hope, and love.
From this research, I could learn that there was a great man in the Indian history, the man that gives his whole life for his religion and teach people how to follow God's paths. His living style makes people of all time must respect.
